| The Red "C" Illustration |
|
Hold the two “C” together so the audience can only see one. Announce that you will now present, “A re-creation, by way of illustration, of a biblical event.” Pull the two “C’s” apart and display them side by side. Say, “Ladies and Gentlemen, you have just witnessed the PARTING of the Red Sea (“C”).
After the laughter, and especially the groans dies down, you can make the “C’s” cross over each other by moving your hands over one another. “Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you have now witnessed the crossing of the Red Sea (C).” You can then say, “I hope all of you could “C” that OK. If you could just answer me by saying “Si” (“C”) (each time, as you say “C” hold out one of the “C’s” to emphasize your point). Now you can also add one more. Hold one of the “C’s” high in the air and then let it fall to the ground watching it all the way has it falls. Now look at the audience and say. “Well, there you go, the Dead “C”.” You can lay aside the “C” in your hand and come back to it later in your lesson. Act as if you stumbled across the lone “C” and say, “OOPS, I can’t believe it, I almost didn’t see (C) this, but I can see (C) it now. See (C) what I mean. Lift up the “C” each time to illustrate what you are saying. Have Fun and ENJOY! |
